YOU SHALL NOT PASS this ‘LEGO: The Lord of the Rings’ Trailer

As someone who loves both LEGO and video games, you’d think I’d be a huge fan of LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Batman, LEGO Indiana Jones, etc, but I’m actually not. They’re cute and mildly entertaining, but my feelings toward most of the LEGO video games thus far can be summed up with a hearty “meh.”

But this, THIS, looks glorious:

Of course, I have a huge soft spot for all things Lord of the Rings so I may be a little biased. The rumored release date for LEGO: The Lord of the Rings , which will be coming to Wii, 3DS, PS3, and Xbox 360, is October 26–plenty of time to get your yellow-bricked LOTR fix before The Hobbit hits theaters.

I’m just the opposite of you. I’m kinda meh on LOTR and love the LEGO games. I imagine that might change if I ever have time to watch all the movies. Only saw the first when it came out and never saw the other 2.

I agree. Although I also love the LEGO Star Wars and Batman games. It’s an unhealthy addiction. I worry that LEGO LotR will be the last straw.

I admit, I got kinda bored with LEGO Pirates after awhile but each game tends to introduce new aspects to the gameplay to keep it fresh. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the new Batman because the first was just kinda ok for me.

I love the LEGO games, but normally tend to wait until they become cheap before getting them. I’ll do an exception with Lego: LOTR (definitely a day-one purchase!) and might even buy it on two different platforms (360 and 3DS)…

Oh good! So it’s not just me that didn’t get the lego games then? I thought lego Star Wars was hilariously funny, insanely cute and yet incredibly dull to play. I was beginning to think I was the only one. I do love the look and feel of them. Just wasn’t overly sold on the game play. Much like all the others this one is pretty to look at though.
