As someone who loves both LEGO and video games, you’d think I’d be a huge fan of LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Batman, LEGO Indiana Jones, etc, but I’m actually not. They’re cute and mildly entertaining, but my feelings toward most of the LEGO video games thus far can be summed up with a hearty “meh.”

Of course, I have a huge soft spot for all things Lord of the Rings so I may be a little biased. The rumored release date for LEGO: The Lord of the Rings, which will be coming to Wii, 3DS, PS3, and Xbox 360, is October 26–plenty of time to get your yellow-bricked LOTR fix before The Hobbit hits theaters.
